Broadcast Date: December 15, 2015

As one of the fastest growing sectors of health care, there is no denying the opportunities presented by telehealth. Providers continue to familiarize themselves with compliance issues such as multi‐state licensing, scope of practice, revenue models, and reimbursement. Providers seeking to maximize their telehealth ROI should look beyond traditional Medicare FFS reimbursements and create business models and contracts that best align with the nature of telehealth services.

During the live broadcast, the audience was polled on the effect of reimbursement challenges on their telemedicine program.

Is the scope or scale of your telemedicine program hindered by reimbursement challenges?

As illustrated by the responses, more than 90% of attendees’ telemedicine programs are negatively impacted by reimbursement challenges. Clearly reimbursement challenges are still affecting telemedicine programs, even with a variety of telemedicine business models in place, as seen in the second polling question:

Which of the following business or contract models are used in your telemedicine program?

This on‐demand webinar features Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Nathaniel Lacktman, head of the firm’s telemedicine and virtual care practice, and his insights on key topics including:

  • Payment and Reimbursement for telehealth services, including opportunities under state, federal, and commercial payers
  • Business models and compensation methodologies in telehealth arrangements
  • What to expect in 2016
